Günter Oettinger,
former German Prime Minister, still finds it "highly correct" that his party colleague Ursula von der Leyen, as a doctor without any qualified political training, was "allowed" to play the role of Minister of Defense and then President of the EU Commission.
We met the two of them in front of the Salzburg Festival Hall in 2023. The accompanying Austrian police officers laughed out loud when we pointed out to Öttinger that we political scientists shouldn't be allowed to "play doctors" in Salzburg's hospitals without the best medical training.
Recently, an Austrian businessman and lawyer criticized this "blacklist" and, even with the best arguments, was unable to convince him that it had any significance. Podcast creator GF from Munich praised "bringing forward important solutions, also for the benefit of his own children." But what did he end up with, even months later? A nearly empty CD. He also ended the podcast project because he was persuaded to do so by members of the "Alliance-Greens" scene.
A German doctor from Rosenheim, without any political training and apparently not even acquainted with the simplest logic, contradicted a political discussion on the topic of "democracy," saying: "The introduction of your global democracy is as unnecessary as it is utopian! I do everything possible... I have a lot to support in the family sphere, with my grandmothers, and in the area of friendship, etc....
