The way Western politicians and media deal with Russia was and still is, politically, psychologically, and legally, scientifically enormously foolish!
He can still trigger World War III.
The evidence:
In this context, on February 23, 2023, an email conversation with one of the highest-ranking former NATO generals, the “Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum,” Hans-Lothar Domröse, after his lecture in a Munich cafe, at that time already retired.
The NATO general responded very naively to our suggestion that the nuclear state of Russia must be dealt with very differently, much more wisely, and that Russia could also resort to nuclear weapons...

Our answer:
"Deterrence is one of the correct ways to prevent wars. But is this always sufficient? Isn't it intelligent to ask how the conflict with Moscow has developed, especially since Mikhail Gorbachev paved the way for sensational cooperation between the West and Russia from 1990 onwards?
From a legal perspective, the West has decisively created the current threat situation through its super-foolish policy of encircling Moscow by admitting 14 former Warsaw Pact states into NATO, even with nuclear weapons.
The very sympathetic Mikhail Gorbachev had previously made gigantic concessions to the West through his dissolution of the Soviet Union -
and his successor Boris Yeltsin continued this path!
The West ignored these advance payments!
But he became even more impudent:
As a “thank you,” Obama and Joe Biden have further fueled Russian hatred: Obama even described Russia – the world’s largest nuclear power according to SIIPRI – as a “provincial power.”
And Biden further fueled Ukrainians’ hatred of Russia at the Maidan in Kyiv.
In 2022, Russia responded with an equally rash and brutal move into Ukraine!
Russia believed it could quickly protect Ukraine from Western influence. At least by the time of 2022, this was a complete miscalculation on Russia's part!
The question to you, a former high-ranking Western general:
Wouldn’t the far better way have been to work closely with Gorbachev or at least to signal to the Russians and the entire world that one would not interfere in the highly sensitive “Warsaw Pact-Russia” complex,
– and certainly not outsmart Mikhail Gorbachev?

The ultimate burden of blame for this mega-fiasco – unique in world history – rests on Western Europe and the USA. Because the world's simple legal processes already identify the true culprits and the main perpetrators,
by asking this one question:
What preceded the acts of violence back then?
What about the Russian attacks on Ukraine?

The West failed to even begin to acknowledge the great, positive, historical contributions of the Russians to the world. Yet, in 1962, Nikita Khrushchev and the Kennedys had already prevented World War III!

Putin – like all other politicians worldwide, not even remotely trained in correct politics, merely a secret agent and lawyer, reacted insidiously:
Putin should have been treated very differently, far more skillfully – the opposite, by integrating him into the West!

Added to this was NATO's eastern expansion policy, which, between 1991 and 2014, placed NATO nuclear weapons right on Moscow's doorstep, and which, before the attack on Ukraine, incorporated 14 former Warsaw Pact states into the NATO alliance, even disposing of nuclear weapons. Yet Russia had already been invaded militarily twice in recent history!

Above all:
The "Western invasion through NATO integration" took place despite a previously peaceful Mikhail Gorbachev, who offered the West the path to cooperation between Russia, Western Europe, and the USA against the dangerously expanding Red China - and probably for this reason dissolved the Warsaw Pact!

Boris Yeltsin continued Gorbachev’s policies in his own way.
This was also done with the help of deputy Anatoly Chubais. *

Putin too – until, after an unsuccessful, completely ignored speech on cooperation in the German Bundestag in 2001 and after Clinton's silence on his proposal for Russia to join NATO, he corrected his cozy course with the West and switched to full confrontation with the West.
US President Bill Clinton even privately acknowledged serious errors by the West in the White House gardens to his friends Rüdiger Löwe and Claudia Bussler. Löwe and Bussler then revealed this to NATO expert Dr. JB Koeppl in a personal conversation after 2001.

President Obama's role was even more macabre: He even labeled the world's most nuclear-armed and largest country in terms of area a "provincial power."
And the equally politically inexperienced US Vice President Joe Biden followed suit and organized a “fuse against Russia” at the “Maidan of Kyiv” in 2014, fueling the hatred of the Ukrainian population against Russia.
This resulted in a huge amount of violence against Russian minorities in eastern Ukraine, which significantly fueled the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.
There would have been far better options for Russia than attacking Ukraine. See footnote **.

From that point on, Vladimir Putin, ego-bruised and driven by his desire for fame and greatness, and his even more aggressive successors dreamed of a strengthened Russia that could no longer be humiliated. They made pacts with Red China, which was equally intent on revenge against the West. Putin constantly stalled the naive West in the Ukraine negotiations.

A credible, lasting, comprehensive cooperation between the West and Russia, and through Russia also with Red China, based on genuine, mutual respect!
But this policy could only be implemented with the best politicians and smarter populations – which hardly existed at the time!
