The way Western politicians and media deal with Russia was and still is:
politically and psychologically enormously foolish!
This could trigger World War III.
The evidence:
In addition, on February 23, 2023, an email conversation with one of the highest-ranking former NATO generals, “Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum,” Hans-Lothar Domröse, after his lecture in a Munich cafe, at that time already retired.
The NATO general naively responded to our suggestion that the nuclear state of Russia must be dealt with very differently, much more wisely…

"Deterrence is a correct way to prevent wars. But is it always sufficient? Shouldn't we ask ourselves more intelligently how the conflict with Moscow has developed,
especially since Mikhail Gorbachev paved the way for the West’s sensational cooperation with Russia from 1990 onwards:
From a legal point of view, the West has overturned its super-foolish policy of encircling Moscow by admitting 14 former Warsaw Pact states into NATO –
equipping these states with nuclear weapons –
today's threat landscape has been decisively built up.
Mikhail Gorbachev, who was very pro-Western, had previously made gigantic concessions to the West through the dissolution of the Soviet Union - and his successor Boris Yeltsin had continued down this path!
But the West became even more brazen:
Obama and Joe Biden have, in return, continued to stoke Russian hatred: Obama even described Russia – the world’s largest nuclear power according to SIIPRI – as a “provincial power.”
And Biden further fueled Ukrainians’ hatred of Russia at the Maidan in Kyiv.
Finally, in 2022, Russia responded with its equally rash and brutal move into Ukraine! Russia apparently believed it could quickly protect Ukraine from Western interference.
A total misjudgment of Russia, at least by 2023!
Now the question to you, the General:
Hadn’t the far better way been to work closely with Gorbachev,
or
to at least signal to the Russians and the entire world that one will not interfere in the highly sensitive complex of the Warsaw Pact-Russia,
– and certainly not to outsmart Mikhail Gorbachev?

The NEMP succeeded,
because as a result, not even a single Western European military jeep or tank was running in Western Europe anymore,

Macron was no longer able to use his French submarine nuclear weapon, as it was still within the NEMP range at that time,
because the Americans abandoned Western Europe.
The ultimate burden of blame for this mega-fiasco – unprecedented in world history – rests on Western Europe and the United States. Even in simple legal processes, the true culprits and the main perpetrators are identified by asking this question:
What preceded the acts of violence back then?
What about the Russian attacks on Ukraine?

The West failed to acknowledge the Russians' great, positive, historical contributions to the world. Yet, as early as 1962, Nikita Khrushchev and the Kennedys had prevented World War III!
2.
Putin—like all other politicians worldwide, not even remotely trained in proper politics, merely a secret agent and lawyer—reacted treacherously. Putin should have been handled very differently, far more skillfully—in fact, the opposite: by integrating him into the West!
3.
Added to this was NATO's eastern expansion policy, which between 1991 and 2014 placed NATO nuclear weapons right up to the gates of Moscow, and which, before the attack on Ukraine, incorporated 14 former Warsaw Pact states into the NATO alliance, even disposing of nuclear weapons.
Russia had already been invaded militarily twice in recent history!

Above all:
The "Western invasion through NATO integration" took place despite the previously peaceful actions of Mikhail Gorbachev, who even offered the West the path to cooperation between Russia, Western Europe, and the USA against the dangerously expanding Red China - and probably for this reason dissolved the Warsaw Pact!

Boris Yeltsin continued Gorbachev’s policies in his own way.
This was also done with the help of deputy Anatoly Chubais. *

Putin too – until, after an unsuccessful, completely ignored speech on cooperation in the German Bundestag in 2001 and after Clinton's silence on his proposal for Russia to join NATO, he corrected his cozy course with the West and switched to full confrontation with the West.
US President Bill Clinton then confirmed the West's grave error to his friends (Rüdiger Löwe and Claudia Bussler, behind closed doors) in the White House gardens. Löwe and Bussler told NATO expert Dr. JB Koeppl this in a private conversation.

President Obama's role was ultimately even more macabre: He even labeled the world's best-equipped nuclear power and the largest country in terms of area as a "provincial power."
And the equally politically inexperienced US Vice President Joseph Biden followed suit, organizing a "fuse against Russia" at the "Maidan in Kyiv" in 2014, fueling hatred against Russia among Ukrainian sections of the population. This resulted in a host of violent acts against Russian minorities in eastern Ukraine – which significantly fueled the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.
There would have been far better options for Russia than attacking Ukraine. See footnote **.

From that point on, Vladimir Putin, ego-hurt and striving for fame and greatness, and his even more aggressive successors dreamed of a strengthened Russia that could no longer be humiliated.
They made a pact with Red China, which was equally intent on revenge against the West. Before that, Putin constantly stalled the West in the Ukraine negotiations. See the "Shanghai Conference" in August 2025.
The West was more than naive.

Only a cosmic miracle saved the planet.
WHAT SOLUTION would there be
given at that time?
A credible, lasting, comprehensive cooperation between the West and Russia, and through Russia also with Red China, based on genuine, mutual respect!
But this policy could only be implemented with the best politicians and smarter populations – which hardly existed at the time!
