It is subject to the same elementary rules of LOGICAL ARGUMENTATION
just like LEGAL LIFE in proper democracies!
At least every criminal judge primarily asks this one question:
WHAT WAS UP WITH THAT AND THAT CRIME
IN ADVANCE?
The way Western politicians, military personnel, and media dealt with the world's largest nuclear-armed state, Russia, was and is legally and psychologically utterly foolish!
Here is a personal and email conversation with a high-ranking, former NATO general,
with the former “Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum”
Hans-Lothar Domroese after his lecture in a Munich cafe:
The NATO general responded to our suggestion that one must deal with a powerful nuclear-armed state much more intelligently than the West has been doing since 1991...

Our answer:
"Deterrence is one of the correct means of preventing wars."
But is that enough? One must ask a far more intelligent question: how did the conflict with Moscow develop after 1990? In particular, how did a world-renowned Russian, the likeable Mikhail Gorbachev, sensationally pave the way for cooperation between the West and Russia between 1990 and 1991?
Therefore, our question is:
Wouldn't the far better way have been to cooperate with Gorbachev?
to form a strong bloc with Russia against the resurgent Red China?
In that case, the Ukraine problem would never have arisen in the first place!

Then a German media manager, Professor Moritz Hunzinger, Frankfurt am Main
with a professorship in Kyiv – according to his own words, he was friends with one of the former presidents of Ukraine, and is now in close contact with Zelensky and top NATO generals.
From 2022 onwards, he wrote us variations of this macabre "standard formula" over several months:

Western Europe and the USA bear the ultimate burden of guilt – unique in world history.
The great, positive, historical achievements of the Russians for the world were not even remotely acknowledged:
Russia has been invaded twice by the West, by France and Germany!
In 1962, Nikita Khrushchev and the Kennedys prevented nuclear war!
1991: Gorbachev's concession by dissolving the Warsaw Pact was also completely negated.
Boris Yeltsin implemented Gorbachev's policies – not least with the help of his deputy, Anatoly Chubais. *
Vladimir Putin should have been treated much more intelligently…

Wikipedia states that Anatoly Chubais, along with other Russian politicians, wanted to introduce democracy in Russia. In 2022, Chubais fell out of favor with Vladimir Putin because he strongly criticized the invasion of Ukraine.

Tschubais's daughter was met by NATO expert JB Koeppl around the turn of the millennium in Passau. Koeppl briefly introduced the daughter to the necessary reforms of Western democracies threatened by severe corruption, but subsequently lost contact with her.
